I'm working with a friend this year to produce our own comic. The story is in the early stages, as is this image. I needed to show him and thought I'd put up what I have done so far on the blog. The image is of one of our main characters getting into a fight. His eyes show no pupils as he is about to use a power...

i've taken the refrence photos and sketched them in roughly... tomorrow i can start the fun stuff!!

i haven't been able to draw a piece everyday but i've started two and have been switching between them every now and again. It just helps because everytime i take a break from one and go the next, i always see the drawing differently.

Did a drawing of Yoanna House (former winner of America's Next Top Model) and also a drawing of a dalmatian.

Super Week

These holidays I have fallen in love with comic art and now I'm rally starting to fall in love with comics (always been a comic movie fan.) I'd love to be involved with my own graphic story one day.

This week has been the week of re-watching a lot of the Superman movies. Well the first two and Returns. I have did this sketch of Superman tonight. I want to water colour it tomorrow. I wanted to show you the sketch as I will pretty much screw up the water colour (confidence is So high right now, can you tell?) At least I have a form of it to fall back on and re work if I fail with it. let me know what ya' think, as always.

Hey,

I guess this is the final sketch from what I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks. I went through a few different ideas which were too conceptually heavy. Too much stuff going on.  So in the end I just centered the main character and placed others around him. I tried to make everyone look into different directions and not each other to show how close they are yet at the same time, so far.  Then I just chucked the ‘six feet under tree’ in the open window, which you know, could also be symbolic somehow…? It kinda sucks, because thinking back on how much time I spent on this – drawing, going through like 3 seasons to find stills and doing the final sketch, now its over and it feels like a big anticlimax. Plus all my drawings look like shit after I scan them. Blah.

Daft Punk

These holidays I've really enjoyed working with ink but today I thought I'd incorporate some some digital water colour. I really like using digital water colour, though I think I need to loosen up more. AH well there's a first for everything. Not all that happy with it but it was fun to do. Daft Punk's electronic style and lighting are a real inspiration. Love them.
