Hey Tyler some pretty cool stuff mate i think to help tho - do these studies just in value and forget about the colour for now...then you can just work on values and design of your overall composition. at the moment they just look like photo studies which is totally fine - but if you wanna push into that concept field you need to make sure your designing some shit in this - so that these environments actually serve a function and then ill think youll learn more and improve quicker from that. come up with shilohetted shapes and then put them in your environment - repeat them for scale add in some little figures for scale. check out some of these links to see what i mean and have a crack at them!! http://drawingmantis.blogspot.com/ http://www.scribblejames.blogspot.com/ http://www.labluna.blogspot.com/
look at how they are constructing the greyscale value studies first and then this allows you to be more creative with the colours you use
