Finished the painting. Was going to say that it's out of my hands but the guy called back saying that it doesn't look like his brother so I'll be changing his face after the new year. Oh well. Grr... I need to learn to be ruthless about pricing.

Looks good Claire. The woman's face is still maybe a little flat looking, but the guys face seems to be working pretty well.
Did you figure out revision conditions with this guy before hand?
I didn't but I'll be seeing him next year and lay down the conditions. I'll charge this change for free. Any subsequent changes would be charged as I need to look for real work and get some income. This isn't much of illustration. He likes the woman's face and says the guy is not what he wants. Said he'll give me more reference photos of his brother and told me straight off that 'you have 17 days to make the change'. He really pissed me off with his tone over the phone. Grr....
hey claire. If your having trouble with the likeness on the guys face you might want to look at the nose abit.. there doesn't seem to be an indent where the nose meets the head inbetween the eyes it looks a little flat.. . and maybe check the angle of the nose coming out of the face.... maybe.. just some ideas, hope it goes well!
