hey thanks claire, I used to paint straight over photos Tyler but these holidays i really want to improve my skills so i've been putting the photo up on one screen and painting on the other. If you saw the refrence shots i've been using you'd see that there often quite out of proportion still, got a long way to go.

i like the whole black background thing going on. I reckon it pushes the faces out alittle more compared to a white background. Great work!
just wanna ask a question michael, are u painting straight over the top of photos? or are u drawing the faces aswell

Mate you're improvement has been coming along splendidly! They are really looking great.
Do you use Photoshop or Painter?

photoshop. I really should get my hands on painter, never tryed it but it sounds like fun.
